Ciudad Mante is the county seat of the Mante, is located south of the state to 158 km northwest of Tampico, in river basin or river Guayalejo Tamesí. Bordered on the north by the municipality of Gomez Farias and the Municipality of Xicotencatl. To the south borders the state of San Luis Potosi. Is the eastern boundary of the town of Gonzalez and west by the municipalities of Ocampo and Old Morelos. The municipality is composed of 201 towns, the main: Mante (municipal), the Abra, the Limon, The Aztecs, Cinco de Mayo and Northern Division. It has a total of 112.061 inhabitants (2005) in 1906 km ².
